Units About 9,500 Description This recall involves 14 Halco LED bulb models used in recessed lights, as outdoor security lighting and in retail displays. The bulbs have a metal cone-shaped housing, are silver in color, either 14 or 18 watts, and have clusters of 6 to 16 LEDs. “ProLED” is printed on a label on the plastic housing of the bulb along with model numbers, product names, and date codes. The PAR30 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 3.75 inches wide. The PAR38 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 4.75 inches wide. The following models are included in the recall:



Porter-Cable Fixed-Base Production Routers Recalled Due to Electrical Shock Hazard

Units About 100,000 in the United States and about 7,800 in Canada Description Four Porter-Cable 3 1/4 horsepower, electric, fixed-base production routers and one production router base are being recalled. The recalled routers are about 11 inches tall and 7 inches wide. The top of the router motor is black plastic and has the on/off switch for the router. The base is painted gray and has two side handles, an adjuster ring on the top and a clamp screw on the rear. The side handles on the base of recalled routers have no insulation. The Porter-Cable name and logo are on the front of the base. The recalled routers and base were manufactured from 1990 to April 2014. The following router models are being recalled:



Weil-McLain Recalls Ultra Series Boilers Due to Risk of Fire, Explosion

Units About 7,900 in the United States and 540 in Canada Description This recall involves Weil-McLain Ultra models 80, 105, 155 and 230 MBH gas-fired boilers used for space heating. The boilers have a serial number range between CP 6557046 and CP 6955985. Model and serial numbers are located on a bar-coded label affixed to the lower right side of the boiler, behind the removable front panel. The boilers have a Weil-McLain logo plate affixed to the front, a pewter/flat black cover and are either freestanding or wall-mounted. Incidents/Injuries The firm has received 11 reports of manifold caps cracking. No fires or injuries have been reported. Remedy Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled boilers, turn off the gas supply to the boilers and contact Weil-McLain to schedule a free inspection and repair. Distributed by Plumbing and heating wholesale distributors, plumbers and contactors nationwide from June 2012 through March 2014 for about $4,200 to $6,200. Nest Labs Recalls to Repair Nest Protect Smoke + CO Alarms Due to Failure to Sound Alert

Recall Details Units About 440,000 Description This recall includes all Nest Protect Smoke + CO alarms. The alarms are made of black or white plastic and are about 5.25 inches square with rounded corners and about 1.5 inches deep. The word “nest” is on a large button on the face of the alarm. Consumers can enable the alarms to be controlled by a computer or a smartphone over a wireless network. The alarms have a Nest Wave feature, which allows users to temporarily silence some alerts or cancel a manual test by vigorously waving an arm near the unit that triggered the alarm. Nest Protect Smoke + CO alarms came from the factory with the Nest Wave feature enabled and with the slider button in the “On” position in Nest Protect Settings. Incidents/Injuries Nest Labs has received no reports of incidents, injuries or property damage. Remedy The repair is an automatic electronic update that disables the Nest Wave feature and is delivered automatically to devices connected wirelessly to the Internet and linked to a Nest account. Consumers should take one of the following actions: Consumers who have not connected their Nest Protect devices to their wireless network and linked them to a Nest account should immediately do so. The devices will automatically receive the update that disables the Nest Wave feature. Customers should confirm that their devices have been updated by going to Nest Sense on their Nest account mobile or web application and ensuring that the button for Nest Wave is off and grayed out. Instructions on how to connect to a network and disable the feature are available at http://support.nest.com/article/Nest-Protect-Safety or by contacting Nest Labs. Consumers whose Nest Protect devices are connected to their wireless network and linked to a Nest account should immediately confirm the receipt of an automatic repair that disabled the Nest Wave feature by going to Nest Sense on their Nest account mobile or web application and ensuring that the button for Nest Wave is set to “off” and grayed out. No further action is required and consumers can continue to use their devices. Gree Reannounces Dehumidifier Recall Due to Serious Fire and Burn Hazards; More Fires and Property Damage Reported

Recall Details Units About 2.5 million in the United States and 55,000 in Canada (This recall was first announced in September 2013, updated in October 2013 and expanded in January 2014) Description This recall involves 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 65 and 70-pint dehumidifiers with brand names Danby, De’Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, GE, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima. Recalled model numbers and date codes are listed below. The brand name and the pint capacity are printed on the front of the dehumidifier. The model number and date code are printed on a sticker on the back, front or side of the unit. The dehumidifiers are white, beige, gray or black plastic and measure between 19 and 24 inches tall, 13 and 15 inches wide, and 9 and 11 inches deep.



White-Rodgers Recalls Home Heating and Cooling Thermostats Due to Fire Hazard

Units About 740,000 in the United States and 403,000 in Canada Description This recall involves four models of White-Rodgers digital thermostats. The thermostats are white with blue lighted screens and have one of the following names printed on the front of them: “COMFORTSENTRY,” “DICO,” “Emerson,” “Frigidaire,” “Maytag,” “Nutone,” “Partners Choice,” “Rheem,” “Ruud,” “Unico,” “Water Furnace,” “Westinghouse,” “White-Rodgers” or “Zonefirst.” The thermostats have a battery door on the top left corner. There are three or four buttons to the right and also below the thermostat screen. Recalled thermostats do not show a battery icon on the left side of the blue lighted screen. Incidents/Injuries The firm has received seven reports of burn damage to the thermostat, including two involving minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. Remedy Consumers should check thermostats for battery icon on the left side of the blue lighted screen, if the battery icon is not shown, contact White-Rodgers to receive a free repair or a replacement thermostat. Sold at Heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment manufacturers and distributors and at hardware retailers nationwide from January 2006 through December 2013 for about $30 to $70. Dyson Recalls Bladeless Portable Electric Heaters Due to Fire Hazard

Units About 338,000 in the U.S. and about 43,000 in Canada Description This recall is for all Dyson Hot heaters and Dyson Hot+Cool heaters having model number AM04 and all Dyson Hot+Cool heaters with model number AM05. The heaters are 23 inches tall with a round base and an upper body shaped like an elongated ring. The heaters have no external fan blades. They are made of plastic and were available in the colors silver, black and silver, blue and gray, gray and silver, pink and gray, purple and gray, and white and gray. Each heater came with a remote control. The model number is found above the Dyson logo on the product information sticker on the underside of the heater’s base. Incidents/Injuries Dyson is aware of 82 incidents of the recalled heaters short-circuiting and overheating, including four reports of heaters with burned or melted internal parts. No injuries or property damage have been reported. Remedy Consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled heaters and contact Dyson for a free repair. Genie Recalls Garage Door Openers Due to Fire Hazard

The garage openers are gray and have a rating of ¾ HPc for the models ending in 1200 and 1 HPc for the models ending in 1500. “Genie” and the model name appear on both sides of the opener. Flushmate Expands Recall of Flushmate III Pressure-Assisted Flushing System Due to Impact and Laceration Hazards

This recall is for Series 503 Flushmate III Pressure Assist flushing systems installed inside toilet tanks that were manufactured from March 2008 through June 2009. The units are rectangular, black, two-piece vessels made of injection molded plastic. Previously recalled systems were manufactured from October 1997 through February 2008. Recalled units have a date code/serial number that is 16 characters long and is located on the label on the top of the Flushmate III. The first six numerals of the serial number are the date code. The date code range for units included in this recall in MMDDYY format is 030108 (March 1, 2008) through 063009 (June 30, 2009). The date code range for previously recalled systems in MMDDYY format was 101497 (October 14, 1997) through 022908 (February 29, 2008). Units included in this recall were sold individually and installed in toilets manufactured by American Standard, Crane, Ecotech, Eljer, Gerber, Kohler, Mancesa, Mansfield, Orion, St. Thomas, Universal Rundle, Vitra, Vitromex and Western Pottery.
