Dear Glenn: My husband and just purchased our first home a year ago. We're putting new Bella hardwood floors in ourselves and are now at the point where the staircase needs to be addressed.

Addressed is a bad word; the whole staircase needs to be replaced. We're having a tough time finding a reputable carpenter to come into our east side home.
